Jenny Sharp is a mum, author and teacher who grew up near the beach but now lives in the country.

Always loving books, Jenny would feign illness so she could stay home in bed and read. Books always took her into other worlds where she could be anyone, anywhere, anytime.

During her high school years Jenny continued to feign illness so she could sit in a corner of the library to read and write.   Whilst completing a BA, Jenny continued to experiment with writing - a life line between all the essays! After her second child was born Jenny decided to try her hand at teaching, completing a Grad Dip Ed then a Masters in Special Education.

Working with children ignited Jenny's passion for writing and to this day Jenny is still known to stop in the middle of a lesson to scribble down something a child has stated! Jenny has had two children's books published as well as many short stories for children in a variety of magazines.

he writes book reviews for Allen and Unwin and Buzz Words and also writes a reading tips column for Cherububble, an online children's magazine for children and adults.
